The aromas come at you thick and fast with chocolate coming up first. Mocha, earth, leather, five spice and charcoal complete an intense bouquet of complexity that is presented with finesse. The palate offers lush plum and cherry flavours in a medium bodied style. White pepper meets great, finessed tannins, with a touch of raspberry mulling around. The finish is well defined with soft dark berries and gentle tannins that seem to couple with charcoal wood. Gentle spices see this wine out to the very end. A wine that can be approached now with ease, but will take it to the next level in another four to five years.
